Macy's Thanksgiving parade happened this on the Thursday morning of November 24 with full of great surprises! There were various cartoon inflatables, marching bands, performances of the great actors from Broadway, lip-syncing musicians and a lot more. Tony Bennett and Laurie Hernandez and other stars joined this Thanksgiving parade as reported in Billboard.

NBC was the partner television for this year's Macy's Thankgiving Parade. Of course, programs and shows from NBS were also the highlights of the parade. The team of the upcoming live TV musical titled Hairspray Live! joined the said parade. They performed have sung "You can't stop the beat". This is a Broadway muscical whihc will move to live television. The performers include Ariana Grande as Penny Pingleton, Jennifer Hudson as Motormouth Maybelle, Kristin Chenoweth as Velma Von Tussle, Derek Hough as Corny Collins, Harvey Fierstein as Edna Turnblad and newcomer Maddie Baillio as lead Tracy Turnblad. With this appearance of the main characters of this upcoming live TV musical, lots of audiences will be excited for this show.

Meanwhile, there are lots of stars who joined this year Macy's Thanksgiving parade amidst the isues on security. Miss Piggy, the 90-year-old vocal icon and the Muppets' First Lady duetted on "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" with Tony Bennett. The two singers performed on the Hallmark Channel float.

Also, Billboard reported that Macy's is is perhaps trying its best to widen the appeal of the parade as Regina Spektor also joined the said parade. Regina is an acclaimed, indie singer-songwriter who showed off her great talent in the parade. She sang "Bleeding Heart" from her single. She was on the Ocean Spray's cranberry-themed float.

According to the US Magazine report, there were more than three million that were expected to watch the parade. People have happily cheered the stars, marching bands, grand floats and giant balloons, and also the new version of the original Felix the Cat balloons.
