Sen. Mitch McConnell's First Agenda is to Deliver Stimulus Package Before 2021
Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell said on Wednesday after he won the election that his priority is to deliver a stimulus package before the year ends.
The Republican Party still remains in control the House of Senate and Sen. Mitch McConnell is more likely to hold his position.
In the previous weeks, he became one of the important persons in the country and the Trump administration for pushing for another round of second stimulus package.
The Kentucky Representative promised to the public that a new relief package will be approved before the year ends. He also added that a deal will be reached as lawmakers return to the Capitol a day after the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.
"We need another rescue package. Hopefully, the partisan passions that have prevented us from doing another rescue package will subside with the election. And I think we need to do it," McConnell said on Wednesday.
The senator expects that the stimulus will have bipartisan support now that the election is almost done.

Republicans are more likely to maintain control in the House of Senate, though they are still waiting for the results in North Carolina.
Meanwhile, it is still not clear until now if the Democratic Party will still gain control in the House of Representatives after their narrowing series of unexpected losses.
If the Democrats will regain control in the House of Congress or not, one thing is for sure: their priority is to strike and seal another stimulus deal before the year ends.
This is to address the financial problem of millions of Americans and residents across the country.
According to a published report in FOX 11, Sen. Mitch McConnell said that reaching an agreement on a stimulus package is their first job as they will return in session on Monday. He is also hoping that more will cooperate as they will discuss the new round of stimulus.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce released a statement which said: "We applaud Senate Majority Leader McConnell for calling for enactment of pandemic relief during the lame-duck session of Congress. American small businesses cannot afford for Congress to wait another three months to act."
"We stand ready to help Sen. McConnell and all of Congress to get this much-needed legislation passed. A targeted package, along the lines proposed by the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, will help small businesses, families, and the American economy recovers and it deserves to be enacted into law," they also added.
It can be remembered that both chambers have disagreements when it comes to the total amount of another round of stimulus package. The Democratic Party wanted $2.2 trillion but the House of Senate recently pushed for $500 billion. On the other hand, the latest offer from the White House was $1.8 trillion.
The disagreements on the amount could now be pacified most especially that the election is almost done. It can also be recounted that Pelosi said before the election that a stimulus deal will be reached after the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.
