Taco Bell's Live Mas scholarship now returns and offers more opportunities to the applicants. The food chain is making again another multi-million dollar investment in higher education.

Taco Bell's scholarship fund to help customers and employees who are negatively impacted by the pandemic now returns.

Their scholarship grant worth $7.5 million and the food chain's grant is also expanded giving more chances to the applicants to grab the opportunity to study. 

Taco Bell's Live Mas Scholarship Grant

The Taco Bell's Live Mas scholarship is the 6th annual scholarship event that that will grant around $7.5 million to the chosen applicants.

According to Fox News, the Taco Bell Foundation will select who deserves to get the grant.

In the official press release of Taco Bell, they said that the application is now made easier. The scholarship grant has been expanded to cover students between the ages of 16 and 26, and no GPA, SAT scores or formal essays are required.

Applicants for the scholarship are just required to submit a two-minute video that describes what they want to do, how they want to make a positive change in the world and most of all how the scholarship will help them achieve their goals in life. 

If the applicants will be successfully chosen, they will be granted an amount of $25,000 as financial support to their quest in education.

This is another program that Taco Bell Foundation decided to continue because many individuals and students are now suffering the negative economic impact of the pandemic.

Additionally, Taco Bell added that an amount of $2 million will exclusively be awarded to Taco Bell team members who are pursuing higher learning.

This includes students who are pursuing in trade schools, four-year universities, community colleges, and graduate schools. 

Jennifer Bradbury, an interim executive director at the Taco Bell Foundation, said, "The pandemic has caused financial strain for families around the country, yet young people's passions haven't gone away."

Taco Bell aims to help students even amid the pandemic to make sure that their future will not be affected.

"We are hopeful that this year's scholarships will provide many creative, passionate fans and Taco Bell team members opportunities they may not have otherwise had. We are also proud to continue expanding our partnerships and resources to ignite change and create a better future for our scholars as they make a positive impact in their communities and beyond," she added.

Taco Bell's $7.5 million scholarship grant is part of their commitment to meet the $21 million the foundation claimed it would reach in 2021. Taco Bell's scholarship grant is very timely as the number of college enrollees reduced due to the pandemic. 

According to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, it estimated freshman enrollment was down by 16.1% nationally compared to 2019.

It is also important to note that the deadline for the Live Mas Scholarship grant will be on or before Jan. 20, 2021 and winners will be announced to the public in May 2021.
