Pop superstar Demi Lovato was candid in her new documentary, "Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil," revealing that she was a survivor of rape.

Her new documentary premiered last Tuesday at the SXSW Film Festival, wherein she opened up that she was raped not just once but twice. The former Disney star said one of the rape incidents happened during the night of her overdose, according to a We are Mitu report.

Demi Lovato revealed that it was her drug dealer who sexually assaulted her. She shared that when people found her, she was literally left for dead after she was taken advantage of. She then woke up in a hospital, where she was asked if they had consensual sex, to which she answered yes.

"It wasn't until a month after the overdose that I realized, 'You weren't in any state of mind to make a consensual decision," the 28-year-old singer said.
