Kate Middleton, Prince William, Baby George Latest News: New Royal Family Portrait Released [PIC]
The royal family -- Prince William, wife Kate Middleton and their baby, Prince George -- has released their latest family portraits.
Two portraits were released on Monday via the Kensington Palace. The pictures were taken in early August by Kate's father, Michael Middleton. The scenery was the family's temporary residence of Bucklebury, England. The royal family will stay in the Bucklebury estate until they move to their permanent residence of Kensington Palace in London.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are casually dressed in the two photos. Kate, 31, wears a fuchsia wrap dress. William, 31, wears a blue button-down shirt. George is wrapped in a simple white blanket, similar to the one he slept in during his Jul. 23 debut outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital.
In one photo, Kate, or Catherine, is shown hold holding her son Prince George Alexander Louis, who is almost one month old. They are joined by Prince William as well as their two dogs: an adopted cocker spaniel named Lupo and a retriever named Tilly. A bright background surrounds them along with grass, hedges and trees.
The second portrait features Kate and William in the same casual clothing. Meanwhile, George sleeps in Kate's arms.
According to People, William and Catherine felt more comfortable having the photo taken by a family member.
"[Prince George is] a little bit of a rascal," said William in an interview with CNN.
The prince, who is second in line to the British throne, also said his son reminds him of his younger brother, Prince Harry.
Prince George was born Jul. 22.
