"Slender: The Arrival" is set to launch on Sept. 23 on PlayStation 3. On Sept. 24, the version for Xbox 360 will also be launched through digital download, Gematsu reports. Midnight City has announced that the digital download will cost $9.99.

"Slender" is a game that was developed by Blue Isle Studios. It puts the players in the middle of a mystery about the persona of the character called Slender Man. The story is dark and filled with paranoia, other worldly-forces and terror.

The console version of the game includes new story elements as well as extended levels, which will later be added to the PC version as free downloadable content.

"Slender: The Arrival" is a sequel to "Slender: The Eight Pages," which was created by Parsec Productions and first released on March 26 for OS X and Microsoft Windows. On Sept. 23, the sequel will be released on the PlayStation Network in North America, followed the day after by its release in Europe as well as hitting the Xbox Live Arcade on the same day.

There will be new choices in difficulty settings ranging from easy and normal to hardcore, although these are unlocked only when the game is completed.

Most of the game's story happens in abandoned places where each place has a different motive. It will use mechanics similar to "The Eight Pages": the player will only have a flashlight that can also be used for defense. However, running to safety is the best way to survive in the game.

The behavior of Slender Man changes as the player advances to the next level. While Slender Man's motions follow the player, it can deviate from the pattern from time to time.
