Silvia Alonso y Alex Garcia Suspicious Minds disney+

Under the sun of the Dominican Republic and under the umbrella of Disney+ and HULU, Spanish actors Silvia Alonso and Álex González shine as high-class thieves in the new thriller Suspicious Minds, the new series of heists and passions that has just premiered on the platform.

Two actors with distinct profiles, two energies that intersect to steal more than just gems: the viewer's attention. In an interview with ENSTARZ and The Latin Times , they reveal, amid laughter and unexpected confessions, how they built their characters, Rui and Amber, and what personal rituals allowed them to become the new Bonnie & Clyde of streaming.

Álex González sees it clearly: Rui is a methodical hedonist, a thief who enjoys every heist as if it were his last. "I always put together a playlist for each character. Rui is a joyful, bold, and seeks pleasure in everything," he reveals. It's his way of fine-tuning his attitude before filming.

Silvia Alonso, on the other hand, preferred a more tangible ritual: perfume. "Amber would wear Jasmine Rose by Tom Ford. She likes good things, so I invested in a good perfume," she says, laughing. These are details, but they are also the gateways to the character.

In Suspicious Minds, known in Spanish as Ladrones: La tiara de Santa Águeda, the two play an ex-couple forced to reunite to steal the legendary jewel of the title. But the real loot lies elsewhere: the tension between them, that mix of recriminations, chemistry, and memories that both actors exploit.

"We want the audience to decide whether the story continues, but everything is already set up to continue," González says. There's a potential franchise in the works.

The subtitle betrays the strategy. "The tiara is just the first heist. Then there could be Pontius Pilate's diamond or St. George's clock," explains Alonso, who seems to enjoy imagining new robberies.

And what would they steal in real life? Alonso answers without hesitation: "An entire library. And I'd open an animal rescue." González, true to his character, seeks something less material. "I'd steal time. That's the real luxury," he admits with a smile.

The shoot, directed by Inma Torrente and Alejandro Bazzano and produced by Plano a Plano, had the sophistication of a heist film and the intimacy of a romantic drama. Six episodes that blend visual splendor, action, and a touch of emotional danger. Because as González summarizes at the end of the interview: "The real question is whether the loot is the tiara... or the other person's heart."

It's now available on Disney+ and HULU, and it's well worth watching, because in Suspicious Minds, Silvia Alonso and Álex González don't just steal jewels. They steal the series.
