Last month, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, the wife of Atlanta rapper T.I., was slammed by Wendy Williams, social media users and other media outlets for permanently changing her eye color by undergoing a cosmetic procedure known as BrightOcular.

At the time, Harris took to Instagram to post a photo of her new set of eyes as well as educate her fans about the cosmetic process.

Following her Instagram announcement, many critics -- including Wendy Williams -- slammed the singer/reality-TV star for undergoing an unnecessary and risky procedure and showcasing signs of self-hatred.

"This right here is going too far," Williams said on "The Wendy Williams Show" last month. "Getting your eyes permanently done like this is to me, as bad as people who bleach their skin. You can self-hate your flat boobs. You can self-hate your flat butt ... [but not] the eyes."

Medical Daily also commented on Harris' eyes and explained that her eye procedure might have severe side effects that include "infections, ocular hypertension, iritis, corneal edema, hyphemacorneal decompensation, endothelial cell loss, natural lens opacification, and photophobia."

Despite the backlash, Harris continues to flaunt her newly implanted eyes on social media and sparked more outrage from fans after posting an Instagram photo of her daughter, Zonnique with a new set of colored eyes, Eurweb reportsEarlier this month, both Harris and her daughter Zonnique posted photos on Instagram of Zonnique's photoshoot with blue colored eyes.

Although neither Harris nor Zonnique specified whether the eyes were contacts or the results of BrightOcular, many social media users still attacked the women for displaying signs of self hatred.

Social media users also attacked Tiny for possible allowing her daughter to undergo a procedure that many are claiming could result in blindness.

"Smh. Wow #selfhate. Why would u change your eye color? Blue not a good fit for you," @naeemah.31, an Instagram user, wrote.
