As shocking as when he was first chosen for the Christian Grey role, Fifty Shades of Grey Charlie Hunnam is reported to have dropped out of the huge film adaptation due to a very hectic television series schedule. Now the question is who can be the possible replacements for the hot role of the erotic book series?

Universal Studios made a formal announcement on how the filmmakers and the chosen actor come to terms with a final decision for them to find a replacement actor to do the Christian Grey role. The Hollywood Reporter stated that the announcement read exactly as below:

"The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule, which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey," - Universal Studios

With many fans of the series disagreeing with the choice of Hunnam for the role that some groups even raised signature campaigns to get the Sons of Anarchy  actor to be replaced, can they be happy now with this recent decision of the actor himself backing out?

New York Daily news reports that there are rumors spreading that the actor dropped out of it due to "cold feet" and that the reason of a busy TV schedule is far from true. The news site even requested for a comment from the supposed Christian Grey actor but they have not gotten any response yet.

Possible Replacements For Fifty Shades Of Grey Charlie Hunnam

Now that Hunnam is out, surely the possible casting for the highly coveted role will soon spread around. In fact, one of the most interesting lists that emerged were from the Today Show which they gathered opinions from fans over at Twitterverse.

The results had the names of actors like Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Channing Tatum, Willie Geist, Scott Eastwood, James Scoot, Chris Hemsworth, Al Roker and Zac Efron.

As of now, it is still uncertain whether the August 2014 release date for the Fifty Shades of Grey  movie will be moved to a later date or not.
