On Saturday morning, Jan. 31, Bobbi Kristina Brown–the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston–was found unconscious lying face down in a bathtub full of water, the Associated Press reports.

Her husband, Nick Gordon, and their friend found Brown in the bathtub and immediately performed CPR until the paramedics and rescue team came to her home in Georgia to rush her to the hospital, TMZ reported.

Early on Saturday, Brown was placed in a medically-induced coma on arrival at the hospital to reduce the swelling in her brain.

Her father, Bobby Brown was not in Georgia at the time of his daughter's hospitalization but rushed to be by her side, along with Tyler Perry.

He released a statement to E! News

"Privacy is requested in this matter," Bobby said in a statement to E! News. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."

It is unclear what specifically caused Brown's tragic incident, but sources are now claiming she is doing better and is in stable condition.

Sources told People that Brown is alive and recovering.

However, People sources speculate that Brown's accident might be the result of her ongoing struggle coping with losing her mother almost three years ago.

Eerily enough, Houston died on Feb. 11, 2012 after she was found unconscious in a bathtub filled with water.

It has not been confirmed whether Brown's incident is an attempted suicide, but sources say Brown is still having a hard time dealing with Houston's passing.

"It's been a difficult time for Bobbi Kristina, who's struggled in the years after her mother's death," the source said. " [She] has been vacillating between extremes for a while now and is fighting grief and demons of her own creation. The loss of her mom and her intense craving for attention of any sort are just the tip of her mountain of issues."

Prior to her hospitalization, Brown and Gordon posted Instagram photos of themselves getting a Whitney Houston tattoo back in August in honor of the late singer's death.
