Although it is early in the NBA season, some key players may be on the move.

Among the names that have floated around with trade rumors include the Houston Rockets' Omer Asik. The center -- who has seen his role on the team become significantly diminished due to Dwight Howard's arrival -- reportedly requested a trade last week and has been getting more and more frustrated with his role. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Rockets' general manager Daryl Morey has been in talks with other teams about possibly trading Asik but he is reportedly asking for too much in exchange.

Other names that have been involved with trade rumors include Boston Celtics star Rajon Rondo even though he has yet to play in any games so far this season. ESPN New York reported that the New York Knicks offered the Celtics Amar'e Stoudemire as well as Iman Shupert in an attempt to land Rondo, but nothing has came of it yet and some are saying the deal may be dead.

"While C's not moving Rondo, they would take back Amare," ESPN's Chris Broussard said in a tweet.

Despite the rumors, the NBA season is still very young and teams are trying to buy some time to figure out their rosters for the long season ahead. Furthermore, the trade rumors could be completely different later in the season; the games in the next month or so will determine the trade value for many of the players who could be on the move.
