Jason Derulo recently responded to the trending meme on the Internet of him falling down the stairs at this year's MET Gala.

HollywoodLife.com reports that after the MET Gala which took place on Monday, May 4, a social media meme went viral of a man, who many believed to be Derulo, falling down the stairs at a red carpet event.

Social media users immediately took to Twitter to weigh in on Derulo's alleged fall. Check out some of the tweets below.

But Derulo is now denying that he was ever at the 2015 MET Gala and denied falling. He posted an Instagram meme of himself looking puzzled alongside the caption, "Da F**k?"

The "Talk Dirty" singer explained he was actually in rehearsal in Los Angeles at the night of the MET Gala and thought that the fake Instagram meme of the fall was hilarious.

People reports that the viral Instagram photo was actually taken at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. The person falling in the photograph is an unidentified man who attended the event.

And though it is now confirmed that Derulo did not fall at this year's MET Gala, Mirror UK reports that Derulo did fall during his rehearsal in 2012 and suffered a serious neck injury.

Derulo's ex-girlfriend, Jordin Sparks, addressed Derulo's neck injury in her diss record titled "How 'Bout Now" following their breakup.

Sparks released her latest single "How 'Bout Now" on Soundcloud detailing the events leading up to her breakup with Derulo. In the song, Sparks disses the "Talk Dirty" singer for treating her unkindly once his fame "blew up" although she stood by his side and helped him recover from his neck injury.

Some of the lyrics to Sparks' "How Bout Now" read, "Member I deleted all my other guys numbers on my phone for you. Member when you broke your neck and I had to wash your back for you.You probably don't remember half the sh*t that I did for you. Once you blew up, head got big and you started changing. Can't believe all the things that you started saying. Like I'm with you for your fame and your name. What?"
