Model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne had an uncomfortable interview this week on "Good Morning Sacramento." The actress spoke to the show's hosts live via satellite to promote her new teen romance movie "Paper Towns," released in the U.S. last Friday.

The interview got off to a bad start when anchor Marianne McClary introduced the star as "Carla," and things only went downhill from there.

When asked by the show's hosts if she got a chance to read the book of the same name from which the film was adapted, Delevingne's response was sarcastic.

"No, I didn't read the book or the script," she said. "I kind of winged it." Delevingne followed up her remark with praise of the book and its author, John Green.

The interview persisted as such until co-host Mark Allen jumped in and noted a previous interview during which she seemed more excited. He asked if she was "just exhausted." Delevingne explained she had been at the movie premiere the night before, which was "emotional."

McClary followed up, saying she also noticed an issue, and asked if Delevingne was irritated or whether the problem was "just us."

"No, I think it's just you," the model-actress said.

"On that note," McClary responded. "We'll let you go take a little nap. Maybe get a red bull"

"Too far," Delevingne said before the feed was cut.

With the interview over, the hosts expressed their frustration with the actress.

"You make $5 millon for six weeks' worth of work, you can pretend to talk to 'Good Day Sacramento' with some oomph," Allen said.

The actress fired back on social media, explaining that the hosts of the morning show did not understand her sarcasm.

The film "Paper Towns" is based on the bestselling young adult novel. The story is about a shy young man named Quentin (Nat Wolff) who is recruited one night by the most popular girl in school, Margo (Delevingne), to play mischievous pranks on friends who betrayed her. The next day, Margo is nowhere to be found. Armed with cryptic clues and help from pals, Quentin searches to find the girl who stole his heart and made him feel truly alive.

Delevingne's next movie is the highly anticipated DC Comics blockbuster "Suicide Squad" where she acts alongside Will Smith and Jared Leto.
