Lady Gaga Launches #IAmNotJust Campaign
Lady Gaga launched a new social media initiative on Saturday through her Born This Way Foundation.
The 29-year-old singer promoted her latest campaign called #IAmNotJust, which was created in partnership with Yale University, according to USA Today.
"This is about changing people's behavior, changing culture, changing the tone of how we value our feelings," Gaga wrote on Instagram after launching the campaign on social media.
Those interested in joining the movement were told to post the hashtag #IAmNotJust and fill in the blank following the hashtag with whatever they wish.
Gaga put up her own #IAmNotJust post on Twitter, which read "#IamNotJust what others label me as."
Mother Monster encouraged Twitter followers to post their own responses. She added that if they included art with their posts, there was a better chance the singer would retweet them.
In other news, Tony Bennett just announced he will be releasing another jazz album with the singer. The duo released their first jazz album, "Cheek to Cheek," on Sept. 19, 2014. It produced the singles "Anything Goes" and "I Can't Give You Anything but Love." The album topped the U.S. Billboard 200 and Top Jazz Albums chart.
"Gaga is a gorgeous singer, and when she sings a great ballad, I get goose bumps," Bennett said. "She helped me and I helped her by doing 'Cheek to Cheek.' Through her telling her audience how much she likes me, all of them became fans of mine, all these young teenagers."
Gaga is currently playing the role of The Countess on "American Horror Story: Hotel." The singer made her debut on the show, which was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, on Oct. 7.
Tthis season, the show also stars Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Wes Bentley, Angela Bassett, Naomi Campbell, Chloe Sevigny, Max Greenfield, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and Darren Criss.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" airs on FX Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
