On Friday, beauty queen and actress Ximena Navarrete shared her gratitude with fans on Instagram, after she hit the 1 million followers mark on the popular social media platform.

Navarrete shared a video of several of her Instagram posts. She thanked her fans for their support in helping her hit the social media milestone.

"A million feelings, a million emotions, a million smiles, a million hugs, a million kisses, a million thank you's" she captioned the video.

"Thank you to all of you, the million followers who accompany me on this social media platform from day to day. You, who are a part of my life, my career and of every step I take towards my dreams. Thank you endlessly for your unconditional support from every corner of the world wherever you are. A million thank yous for your affection and for all the love. Thank you for being the best fans in the universe. I love you," she added.

Navarrete gained popularity when she participated in the 2010 Miss Universe competition and won the crown for Mexico.

She then made a series of headlines when she appeared in the telenovela "La Tempestad" with actor William Levy. Rumors began to circulate that the two were romantically linked, regardless of the fact that Levy was with actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez.

Both Navarrete and Levy denied the claims, which have since died down. Levy and Gutiérrez were spotted spending time together again, and Navarrete revealed she was in a relationship with businessman Juan Carlos Valladares Jr

According to Radio Fórmula, the model recently shared her excitement over Mexico rejoining the Miss Universe pageant, since Donald Trump is no longer associated with the Miss Universe organization.

"The truth is that it would be really sad to take away the opportunity from a beautiful girl who has prepared a lot to represent Mexico and do the best that she can," Navarrete said. "How great that she will go to Miss Universe. It gives me a lot of pleasure."
