Samsung might be releasing two versions of the Galaxy S7 smartphone, each with a different processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is believed to be coming out in two different versions, one with an Exynos 8890 processor and the other with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Tech Radar reports.

There are benchmarking tests for both processors on the Chinese social media site Weibo. The Galaxy S7 with the Snapdragon 820 received a benchmark score of 5423 points, while the Exynos 8890 Galaxy S7 scored quite a bit higher at 6908.

The new Snapdragon 820 processor is going to be very powerful. Compared to the iPhone 6s Plus' score of 4351 and the iPad Pro's score of 5468, the Snapdragon 820 is way up there. The score of 5423 for a smartphone processor is barely below the score for Apple's top of the line tablet.

After there were problems with the Snapdragon 810 processor, with some phone manufacturers blaming the processor for devices overheating, Samsung used their own Exynos processor for the Galaxy S6. Now, it looks like they are back to teaming up with Qualcomm by putting the Snapdragon 820 in the Galaxy S7.

Both versions of the Samsung Galaxy S7 are expected to be very powerful and also include some other updates, though the S7 will likely look almost exactly the same as the Galaxy S6.

The S7 will improve on the camera from the Galaxy S6. This may not mean more megapixels, but the quality of the pictures will improve. Low-light pictures will look better, and if Samsung decides to use the same IMX300 sensor that the Sony Xperia Z5 uses, picture quality will be excellent.

Samsung might decide to bring back the microSD slot for the Galaxy S7. This would allow buyers to purchase the versions with smaller storage and add more storage with microSD cards, saving them money.

The Galaxy S7 is likely to be released in early 2016 with a price around $650.
