2K Games released a companion app for its wrestling simulation title WWE 2K16 on Dec. 10, allowing players to scan and upload their faces onto the game.

The game's official website announced the app, WWE 2K16 Creation Studio, is now available on both Android and iOS devices.

While 2K16 previously allowed for players to import images to the game's Creation Suite, this new app enables users to take a photo with a mobile device's camera or select a saved image from their library, and export it to be used for a custom character.

In addition to creating original superstars and divas, players can also use the Logo Capture feature to utilize images in tattoos, arena decals, billboards, Championship designs, show logos, and more.

Once the app is downloaded, players must obtain a code or "token" from the game's Logo Manager under WWE Community Creations on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One titles. A 20-minute code will be generated, which users can then input, or scan directly from the television screen using the app's QR scanner.

The app also features a variety of editing tools, such as the ability to remove backgrounds, crop and resize, or adjust contrast and brightness. Users can filter out portions of the image based on color as well.

WWE 2K16 was released in October for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As the seventeenth entry in the wrestling series, the game was well-received, especially in light of last year's disappointing 2K15.

Among WWE 2K15's criticisms was the small roster, and limited customization features, including the absence of custom divas. So far, WWE 2K16 looks to be addressing most fans complaints in a big way.
