The Undertaker began his remarkable streak at Wrestlemania VII when he beat Jimmy Snuka in 1991.

Fast forward to 2014 at Wrestlemania XXX Sunday and Undertaker was 21-0 at Wrestlemania matches. But, 2014 saw him losing for the first time at the WWE annual spectacle.

Fans at the Superdome in New Orleans were shocked as Brock Lesnar pinned Undertaker after an exciting match.

The wrestlers exchanged submissions and finishing moves but neither would submit or succumb to pinfall until the very end.

After delivering his signature Tombstone pile driver, Undertaker thought the match was over. Lesnar was able to kick out of the pinfall attempt.

Undertaker wasn't done yet, he scooped Lesnar up again for another attempted Tombstone. This time, Lesnar countered it and delivered his own finisher, the F5.

This finisher, though, would be the final finisher as Lesnar covered Undertaker for the pinfall. As Lesnar and his manager Paul Heyman walked off smiling, Undertaker remained in the ring.

As Undertaker struggled to stand up, the cameras show the shocked crowd. They couldn't believe what they had just seen. It was history. How could The Undertaker's streak be ended like that?

Fans took their frustrations to Twitter and Facebook, many of them shocked that the long-standing Wrestlemania streak was broken.

The announcers providing commentary for the pay-per-view were just as shocked. They seemed to believe that this would be the last time the WWE Universe would see Undertaker again.

Besides losing the match, The Undertaker may have to stay away from activity for a while. He is said to have sustained a "severe concussion."

WWE.com reports that The Undertaker was immediately taken to a hospital where he was kept overnight. He was discharged Monday afternoon.

The annual wrestling event, Wrestlemania grossed $10.9 million.
