A suspected bank robber was arrested after he allegedly robbed a bank during a live TV news broadcast in Minnesota.

On Tuesday, KIMT-TV reporter Adam Sallet was doing a live update on a bank robbery that occurred Monday at the Sterling State Bank in Rochester when the suspect ironically committed another robbery, say officials.

Seconds into his report, Sallet was interrupted by a bank employee who said that the robber had just robbed the bank for a second time. The employee also pointed to a man who was fleeing the scene, saying, "It's that guy right there."

The flabbergasted journalist, who appeared to be running his own camera and audio at the scene, then frantically broke away from the report to call police.

"Oh, that's the robber," he said.

"This is live TV, folks! That's the robber [that] just went by, according to the bank employee. So, I got to go here and call 911. I'll talk to you later," he added before running off camera. The robber was never seen on camera.

The network then cut to anchor Tyler Mickelson, who told the viewers, "I can assure you that was not set up."

During an interview with The Associated Press, Sallet said he made a split second decision to jump out of the live shot and call authorities.

"Once I saw him, I didn't know what to do," Sallet said. "I decided I'd better be a good citizen and call 911."

Later that day, Sallet tweeted that a suspect was in custody and the suspect was likely the same person who tried to rob that bank on Monday.
