The David Lynch-helmed drama "Twin Peaks" is making its way back to television after over 20 years on hiatus.

There has been a teaser video released for the reboot series and fans of the show will be pleasantly surprised to see what it shows.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show is coming to premium cable network Showtime for a revival series that looks painfully eerie and downright ominous.

The video itself does not outline any scenes from the upcoming series, but rather a look at the town and the location as it stands today. It opens up on a beautiful view of the location and the unveiling of the infamous sign for the town, which does not seem to have lost any of residents since the first show given the population number still stands the same.

But that cannot be all true, considering the show has added Amanda Seyfried to the main cast for the reboot.

Fans can expect FBI agent Dale Cooper to return to the show. He was played by actor Kyle MacLachlan and was one of the main characters from the original series that helped make it one of the more engrossing mysteries on television.

The teaser also showed that Deputy Hawk, who was played by Michael Horse, is also returning. He was seen in the teaser and narrated over several shots that really wanted the fans to know that the location is the key to the show's revival. He spoke about it as if it was actually the alpha character in the show. It provided the audience with the sought after mystery, the aura of intrigue that surrounded the plot of the show.

There were also some shots of a man who appears on the teaser in a hazy form. That man seemed to resemble the show's creator himself, David Lynch.

The show is expected to premiere on Showtime sometime in 2017. Watch the video below.
