Respawn Entertainment unveiled the first Titanfall downloadable content package at the PAX East 2014 panel. It is called Expedition and will include three additional maps. It is set for release next month. This pack is only the first of three planned expansions via the Titanfall Season Pass. If you purchase a Season Pass that costs $25, you can have access to Expedition without additional charge as soon as it launches. Those without season passes can get it for $10.

Respawn had planned to support their online multiplayer game through a downloadable version even before it hit the game console and PC platforms. The updates, modes, tweaks and gameplays would be available for free but the rest, like maps or new Titans, would need to be purchased. As soon as it is released, it can be downloaded from major game download providers online.

Expedition includes three maps, namely Swampland, Runoff and Wargames. Swampland features a forest-like setting and like previous ones, you can run through the walls and trees only after you choose your direction. This makes it more unpredictable and exciting. The Runoff map is somehow connected to Swampland and has a lot of pipes and water. The last and final map is inspired by the training simulator at the start of the game and many seem to find it similar to Tron.

The launch schedule of the other two expansions has not yet been revealed by Respawn. It did confirm however that a new Last Titan Standing mode would be featured in the coming game as a free update in the coming months. New Burn Cards will also be used. Titanfall will even use a hashtag system so players with similar interests can interact, something which has yet to be explained by the developer. It even said that players might see customizations and player rankings in Titanfall one day, as well as special tweaks and daily challenges.
