Daniel Bryan has been out for the majority of the past two years because of neck and concussion-related injuries. The WWE has not cleared him to make a return, but Bryan recently posted a video of him training and working out, sparking rumors of him entering the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant.

On the video below posted on Bryan's Instagram account, he can be seen lifting weights as part of his training to stay in shape. The video is captioned, "Will I return to the ring? No matter what anyone says, I keep training like the answer will be #YesYesYes. #NeverGiveUp."

It's not the first time in 2016 that the former WWE champion teased a return to the ring. After hearing the rumors of WWE signing New Japan Pro Wrestling talents, Bryan posted a message on Twitter begging the company doctors to clear him already to face the likes of A.J. Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

WWE is keeping him busy at the moment with media appearances and promotional tours around the world with the most recent in Asia. These social media teases are confusing, considering that he said in an interview with The New Paper in Singapore that his WWE career may be over.

"I think it could be the end of my career in WWE, but I don't think it will be the end of my career. I could find another passion, but it would just be sad because this is what I have been most passionate about since I was five," Bryan said.

According to Wrestle Zone, the latest public appearance for Bryan is at a "World of Wheels" event on Jan. 22 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event will be two days before the Royal Rumble and the 34-year-old will have enough time to make it to Orlando where the Road to WrestleMania 32 starts.

Inquisitr notes that if WWE is planning for Bryan's in-ring return, they will be very careful in letting information out. However, these teases from Bryan can mean two things. It may be an instruction from the WWE as a way to build up his return for the fans or him just being hopeful that the company doctors clear him to return to the ring.

The Royal Rumble has only 11 confirmed participants at the moment, per WWE.com. There are always several surprise entrants in the match, and a return for Bryan will help boost WWE as it is looking for star power with John Cena, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton all set to miss WrestleMania 32.
