Selena Gomez is being eyed for the lead in a potential all female remake of "Ocean's 11."

Hollywood Life reports Gomez's budding friendship with Oscar-nominated and franchise star Brad Pitt could go a long way toward landing the gig.

Gomez and Pitt turned more than a few heads recently when they were spied hanging out, seemingly in deep conversation, after the Golden Globe awards. Now Hollywood Life claims Pitt plans to do all he can to turn Gomez into Hollywood's new "it" girl.

The two previously starred together in the flick "The Big Short," and word is Pitt walked away immensely impressed by the 23-year-old "Come Get It" singer.

"He thinks Selena would be a perfect fit for the Ocean's 11 female remake," a source added. "He's not producing the film but has close ties with the film's director Gary Ross."

Gomez has been on quite a roll lately, recently celebrating her second No. 1 on Billboard's Pop Songs over the last four months with her hit single "Same Old Love."

Justin Bieber's ex previously topped the charts during the last week of September with her smash hit "Good For You," featuring rapper A$AP Rocky. Both songs are from her album "Revival," which made it to the top of the Billboard 200 charts on Oct. 31, 2015 and has sold some 268,000 copies to date.

"This album in particular was such a transition for me," Gomez recently told Billboard while accepting her Chart-Topper award at the magazine's Women in Music event last month. "I have so much more to prove."

Word is Gomez is also planning to take the stage at this year's Coachella music festival to perform with ex-boyfriend DJ Zedd. Hollywood Life reports, though Gomez isn't formally listed as one of the event's acts, speculation continues to swell that she will join her ex in performing at least one tune.
