"Celebrity Big Brother's" Tila Tequila thought there's nothing wrong with asking people for money. Some social media users thought otherwise.

Recently, the model/reality star launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise about $2,500 for furniture as she needed extra funds to cover the costs of moving house.

"The reason why I am creating this GoFundMe campaign is because they have raised the rent at my old home to $4,500 a month, and being a single mother without any support from the father, it can sometimes be very tough taking care of 2 people with only a 1 person income," her explanation on the page read.

"So right now I need to raise some money so that I can move into my new home and get it furnished for my daughter and I," she went on to say, adding that her previous residence was fully furnished.

This call for funding aid may seem to be surprising considering that she allegedly got $175,000 for appearing on CBB, as per Mirror. Judging by the comments left by some netizens on the page, it appears this fact has not been left unnoticed.

"Everyone knows she has a net worth of $1.5 million, right? Go donate to the homeless," Casey Fillenwarth commented.

"I honestly can't even believe someone would pay you. You had how many shows that we all know you got paid for. You're a joke," said Amber Barnhill on Tila's GoFundMe page.

According to International Business Times, Tila was aware of the negative raps she was generating by her campaign. However, she apparently stuck to her guns and proceeded with the campaign - to much success.

"Oh my God! I cannot believe we actually not only reached our goal, but have actually gone PAST it! This is truly a humbling experience," Tila said after her campaign generated no less than $5,000.

It can be recalled that Tila was kicked out of the CBB house in August last year for revealing her pro-Nazi sympathies and even sharing a photo of herself in Nazi attire.

In the wake of her successful campaign, Tila will reportedly be calling all who had donated for her cause. She had left instructions to leave numbers for her to ring up when she returns from a Las Vegas shoot.

As of this writing, donations are still coming in for Tila. It remains to be seen whether she will get triple her target.
