The Royal Rumble is just a few days away and many are anticipating the debut of "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles in the WWE as a surprise entrant. According to PWInsider, Styles is confirmed to be going to for the Royal Rumble event and is also scheduled to be on Monday Night RAW in Miami and SmackDown tapings in Tampa Bay this week.

It is not known if he will be making his debut at the Rumble match itself, but the sure thing is Styles will be making an appearance on WWE television this week. The report added that Styles' former employer, TNA Wrestling, offered him a big contract for three to four years. However, it looks like the 38-year-old superstar was blown away by WWE's offer.

According to PWTorch, Styles also turned down a six-year deal from Ring of Honor and was looking for the best financial situation for his family. WWE probably had the best offer with FanSided speculating that it could have been more than $1 million, like the deal they gave to Alberto Del Rio last October.

The former TNA and NJPW star teased his WWE debut last weekend while at the Revolution Pro Wrestling High Stakes event in London, England. Styles mentioned that if a Rumble slot was open, he would gladly take it and kick ass.

"I don't know what the future holds for me. I'll tell you what, if I'm not recovering from some weird armbar submission and there's a spot in the Royal Rumble. I don't deserve a thing, I don't deserve you but I'll tell you, if you put me in that Royal Rumble I'll kick some ass for you guys," Styles said as quoted by Wrestle Zone.

To add the speculation and buzz around the event and Styles, 15-time WWE champion John Cena posted an image of "The Phenomenal" on his official Instagram account. The photo has no caption, but it created more hype for Sunday's big pay-per-view.

For those who do not know, Styles have wrestled a match in the WWE back in 2002 against The Hurricane. WWE have already acknowledged this, including it in the "5 Things" edition for superstars you didn't know were in WWE on YouTube.

Styles' WWE deal has not been made official by both parties, but with WWE.com covering the rumors, it is likely that contract is already in place and signed. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion will be joined by other NJPW stars Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows sometime before WrestleMania 32.
