Zoe Saldana surprised everyone when she immediately achieved her svelte pre-baby body just nine months after giving birth to twins. The actress' personal fitness trainer Ramona Braganza revealed that Saldana's determination to lose her post-baby fat was one of the reasons for her weight loss. However, she added that the actress also had to put in hours at the gym doing cardio exercises, which include some dance-based moves, per People.

Braganza told the news outlet how Saldana regained her fit shape after giving birth. She said the actress is not really a fan of the treadmill when it comes to cardio exercises. She is, however, fond of Pilates. Braganza also decided to incorporate some dance-based moves to the actress' workout routine, considering that Saldana used to be a ballerina.

"Zoë is not a big fan of the treadmill so for cardio, I focused on dance-based moves and boxing moves to get her heart rate up, kicks, leg lifts, plyometric combinations, and had her doing interval training if we did get on the cardio equipment," Braganza told People.

As for strengthening core exercises, Braganza said she used some Pilates-based exercises including "bicycles, leg lifts and exercises such as Spyder on the Bosu ball." The actress also had 100s, which is done by lying on the back with legs and shoulders off the ground while pumping the arms up and down slightly for 100 repetitions.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star also had to do strength training, which according to Braganza, included dumbbell workouts that focus on the shoulder and back to improve posture.

"Leg work is always a big part of my daily workouts for my clients and weights get legs in shape quicker when doing lunges, squats, and deadlifts," the fitness trainer told People.

Braganza likewise revealed to the publication that Saldana also combines healthy eating with her exercises. She said the actress and her husband Marco Perego, who decided to work out with his wife, also love to eat organic vegetables.

Braganza said her workout routine with Saldana is not just designed to make her lose weight. It was also designed to help her get fit and strong again.

According to Mail Online, Saldana decided to reach out to Braganza after she was told to get back in shape for her next starring role in the "Star Trek" sequel. Saldana is not the only Hollywood celebrity under Braganza's list of A-list clients. She had also worked with Halle Berry and Jessica Alba.
