One highlight that the WWE has added to its annual WrestleMania is the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, which was introduced in honor of the WWE Hall of Famer.

The said event has been overshadowed by the main cards, which will see Triple H putting up his WWE heavyweight title against Roman Reigns and the other seeing Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar slugging it out in a no-holds-barred street fight.

How to Determine the Winner

As the event connotes, all participants will enter the ring before mayhem officially starts. Wrestlers are eliminated once they are thrown off the top rope and land with both of their feet on the canvass.

In a way, it is similar to the Royal Rumble only that it starts with all combatants already in the ring.

During his wrestling days, Andre the Giant was best known to dominate such matches, mainly due to his large frame that earned him the nickname “King of the Battle Royal”.

Winner’s Circle

Being only in its third year, there have only been two stars who have the distinction of ruling the battle royal that started back in 2014.

Debuting at WrestleMania 30, the “Swiss Superman” Cesaro took the inaugural meet. Unfortunately, Cesaro is still recovering from injury and will unlikely be around to compete at WrestleMania 32.

The Big Show could make it back-to-back, winning it at WrestleMania 31. With the Big Show not involved in any major storyline, it is likely he will be among the participants for the said event.

But aside from him, who else could be there?

  1. Ryback. The "Big Guy" is likely to be among the participants to be expected. Though he has dipped into the middle card niche, there is no denying that he is still one of the fan favorites.
  2. Sami Zayn. Another crowd favorite, the recent appearance of Zayn could hint at his participation as well. Though he seems to be linked to Kevin Owens as of late, adding him to the battle royal makes sense.
  3. Braun Strowman. A battle royal is never complete without the giants the WWE has right now so adding the big fella from the Wyatt Family makes a lot of sense. Seemingly immovable, Strowman could be a key participant if not a favorite.
  4. Mark Henry. Another heavyweight that deserves to be there (again) is this strongman. Henry has not been that streaky lately but for an event that calls to mind the giants, this is something that makes a lot of sense for someone as large as Henry.
  5. Kane. The “Demonic One” is obviously another big guy deserving to be there, making this event pretty interesting. Could he end up this year’s winner? It may all depend if he is in and wins.

There are plenty of other stars likely to be included, some even lesser known but promising.

Whatever happens, don’t miss out this rumble at WrestleMania 32 on April 3. The event will be aired live via the WWE Network starting at 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. PT.
