Selena Gomez is ready for her close up, and then some.

The 23-year-old "Come Get It" songstress is on tap to executive produce a scripted drama about her life for Lifetime. The project will be co-executive produced by Trigger Street's Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti.

Slated to be formally unveiled as part of the network's early development lineup, the production is being billed as one of Lifetime's highest-profile offerings. A search for a head writer for the project has already commenced.

Script to draw From Gomez's Life Experiences

Whoever signs on in that capacity, the script is slated to draw from all Gomez's many Hollywood experiences, presumably including her stint as a child star actress.

Word is the production will draw marked parallels to Mark Wahlberg inspired drama "Entourage" that aired on HBO.

Gomes has no Regrets About Hollywood Upbringing

Meanwhile, Gomez recently told GQ magazine she has no regrets about her childhood Hollywood upbringing, which has seen her cast in the spotlight for more than half her life and ever since she was just 10-years-old.

"I chose this," she said. "So I'm not gonna sit here and say, 'Oh, my God, poor me. I didn't have a normal childhood.' I don't give a f--k about that."

Still, Gomez admits she feels a great deal of sympathy for all the young people who have walked in her shoes.

"We're easy targets," she said of young child stars. "Every single kid who was brought up like this is an easy target. It's disgusting, because it's interesting to grown adults that these kids go through weird things because they're figuring out, 'Do I like this? Do I love this?'"

Justin Bieber's on-again, off-again girlfriend also recently signed on with Freeform to executive produce a TV drama series billed as a Latina "Empire."
