Antonio Banderas' new project took him to Peru, where he talked about everything and anything.

The actor is currently talking about his photography project "Women in Gold," which showcases 10 images and benefits the ANAR foundation. Earlier in the day, the press asked him about football, politics, food, tourism and one person even asked the actor for a kiss.

But he opened up to El Comercio about his life, especially with women.

"The issue of women is fixed," he says with a smile. "I like that. And after 53 years of being alive, I still find women to be puzzling. I'm trying [with photos] to show how I perceive them; I try to find myself as well, I guess. I look to show my relationships with women where failure has occurred. Because there are failures. I have a large number of failures with women behind me."

Though he's been married to Melanie Griffith for about 18 years, he knows that life is all about mistakes.

Banderas started dabbling in photography as a hobby. What he most likes about photography is that there's not any censorship.

But he tells people not to expect the work of a professional from him.

"Now, people aren't going to find the work of a professional; I know this," he said. "I am an amateur. But I've always liked photography."

Usually, he's in front of the camera, however.

He tries to avoid paparazzi so that he doesn't feel overwhelmed. But he says that working on something he loves has also made it easier for him to deal with. He has been working with perfume company Puig for 18 years, which he described as an "ethical company" that "gives back to the community." He said that finding the ANAR Foundation also motivated him, and things like this make him less upset about other aspects of his life.
