'The Walking Dead' Season 8 Spoilers: A New Cast Member Joins The Team, Plot Revealed

  Maria Bello, the actress from "Max Steel," recently announced during an interview that she will be joining Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays the iconic character Negan in the upcoming "The Walking Dead" season 8 premiere, reported People.

The job offer was said to be inspired by a personal connection of Bello to one of the show's producers although she herself admitted having been a fan of the series since season one. In fact, she manifested she asked her friend to cast her in the upcoming "The Walking Dead" season 8 installment.

Rumors flew around about Bello taking on the role of Alpha, a character who was deemed to be just as notorious as Negan's in the show, reported Screen Crush. After the latter character's rampage on "The Walking Dead" season 7 finale, will Alpha's casting be inevitable?

Apart from Bello, here are the cast members who would retain their role in the upcoming season: Andrew Lincoln will continue on as Rick, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Sonequa Mattin-Green as Sasha, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Ross Marquand as Aaron, and Jeffrey Dead Morgan as Negan, among others.

Filming and Release Dates

It was recently announced that the franchise received a "go" sign for another season this coming 2017. In fact, filming for "The Walking Dead" season 8 would start from May through November of 2017. The release date for which would be by October of 2017 while eight more episodes would run through to February 2018, reported Digital Spy.
