Everyone loves listening to music through devices. Spotify and speaker maker Sonos know that too well. Both firms recently announced that Spotify users now can control Sonos speakers through their music apps anywhere.

The latest feature enables everyone to control Sonos speakers directly from Spotify apps (as long as they are on the same Wi-fi network). Moreover, Spotify  users can skip the use of the Sonos Controller app entirely when they control their music, The Verge reported. This will provide a more pleasant and simpler experience in listening to music. Sounds great, right?

Some companies think that sending users out of their apps is unthinkable, as said by Sonos software, VP Antoine Leblond. However, convenience is the top priority for every business. Companies are competing to win the competition and customers are the king. This collaboration makes Spotify users control Sonos hardware either from Wi-fi network or cellular data connections.

However, this feature, which is already public beta, can only accessed on Android, macOs, and Windows and it is for Spotify Premium members only, Cnet reported. What about iOs users? iOs is excluded from the list. But, no worries. Sonos promises that iOs users will enjoy the access to after the  integration reaches everyone. You may use Spotify's iOS app to take control over things after you set up the beta from different platforms, however, it is not officially supported yet.

Besides Spotify, Pandora is also planning to apply Sonos control within its app. Both have collaborated for a long time to create a more personal experience for Pandora listeners, said Pandora CEO Tim Westergren. Enabling Pandora app to control Sonos will bring a music experience one step ahead-making it simpler than before.

There are no announcements yet when Pandora and other services such as Google Play Music and Tidal will be able to access Sonos speakers.
