4K movies and videos have been out for quite a while now. Basically they are one of the highest quality of movies and videos available. They are also on YouTube where they are given the option of 2160p rather than the old 1080p option. Now, Google Play Movies is also involved.

It all started a few days ago. According to Android Authority, a small update of the movies section within Google Play was noticed by some users on Reddit. The main thing this is concerning is UHD. UHD stands for Ultra High Definition and this is an option now in a very small range of movies within Google Play.

Granted the list may be small, but the movies that can be seen in UHD are quite the classics. One can also take into account the factor that Google Play will continue to work on this since it is just the start. In fact they only even announced the 4K option in October during a press event.

Therefore one can expect a wide range of HD movies to follow very soon. When one watches movies in Ultra HD, they are to notice every single detail the movie makers intended to be seen. Everything seems so incredibly beautiful and it is just so much more worth watching.

Some of the movies available right now according to Tech Crunch are Zoolander, Star Trek, and Star Trek Beyond, This is the End, and finally The Fifth Element. All these movies are quite the classics and most of them one could not even see in HD.

It would be no surprise if everoyne wants to check out these feats in UHD. Now the only thing one can do is sit around and wait for Google Play to add even more movies to the list.
