Maite Perroni and Daniel Arenas were seen at a Lomas de Chapultepec park shooting their new telenovela "La Gata."

Perroni looked a little less than glamorous. Her hair was frizzy and she had a bit of dirt smeared onto her face. Arenas' look was more natural. He wore a pair of jeans, and a zip-up jacket. In the telenovela, the ravine serves as a place where their two characters first met. So for their reunion as adults, it's the perfect backdrop.

The two have already shot in a dump for the series, and the show has been lauded for choosing very realistic locations.

"We're putting so much heart into this project," Perroni said to TV Notas. "It doesn't matter where we are."

The telenovela premiered last week in Mexico, and she has said how much she loves this role. Perroni has gotten the opportunity to sing and act.

Arenas said that he also believes the story is very realistic, but he hasn't needed to shoot in Bordo de Xochiaca as much as Perroni has.

"I've gone very few times," he said. "But the times that I've had to go, I've had to work under extreme situations, such as rain or shooting scenes where the hut falls on top of us. That place overwhelms you in all aspects, in what you smell, in what you see, in what happens to you."

Perroni has been shooting the soap opera for about two months, and though her character lives and works in a dump, Perroni did not get any vaccines.

"I haven't vaccinated myself against anything," she said, according to Terra. "You take precautions in any place or any circumstance, but you do have to be careful because, at the end of the day, we work with our body and physique."
