About six months ago, Google launched a keyboard app for iPhone called Google Keyboard, allowing users to perform searches without opening the Google app on iOS. Many people were wondering whether the application will also be enjoyed by Android users or not. And well, Android users seem to be happy because Google is finally releasing Google Keyboard for Android device. Especially for Android platform, Google changes the name of Google Keyboard become GBoard.

Aboard for Android will not be released with its own application but in the form of the next update v6.0 of Google Keyboard. If compared with the version of iOS, Android still maintains Gboard on Google Keyboard display style, but with the ability of Gboard, Techpost reported.

Same with Google Keyboard in iOS Platform, the user of Android Gboard can use gesture typing, inserting animated GIF images, emoji searches and perform searches directly from the keyboard and then share those search results in any application that is being used.

Besides the search function, Gboard also has a number of other new features such as Voice Typing, themes, and emojis. Aboard users also learn to type by utilizing neural network technology from Swift.

The update of Gboard also adds the ability to permanently display a number row above the keyboard. It will very useful and helpful for you who often typing number. For bilingual users you do not need to switch keyboard when you have to type different language, Gboard has the ability to type in two different languages without switching keyboards and you still get proper auto correct suggestions for both.

Another advantage of Gboard is to share animated GIF images directly, Google Gesture typing as typing Glide and GIF button to add moving images, as quoted by DigitalTrends.

For now, Gboard is not currently available in the Play Store, likely to be released within next couple of days.
