Tarek and Christina confirmed to Eton their separation but denied Tarek attempted to commit suicide. In the documents taken by the same webloid, a witness who claimed working next door allegedly saw Tarek run out of their back door, jump over their back fence and walk into the hiking trails of Chino Hills State Park. Then after a few moments Christina came running to the residence and crying. Christina even told the witness that Tarek had a gun in his backpack while running outside as alleged by the witness.

This caused the witness to call on cops and reported that somebody possibly may commit suicide. The minutes only Sheriff's helicopter responded and located Tarek and took him home. Christina admitted that 15 minutes before Tarek went outside of their house, a friend called her telling him about Tarek going outside with a gun. This made Christina ran outside and crying.

They both admitted they had misunderstanding that time. "Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed."

"We sought out counseling to sort out the relationship but have since decided to separate while evaluating the future of our marriage", they added.

Although separated, they said they will work hand in hand for their two kids, Taylor 6, and Brayden 15 months old. They also said that their hosting partnership on popular HGTV series would not be affected by their family problem and they will continue to work professionally, as CNN reported.

The network did not interfere with the couples' problem, nor decide to be affected. Instead they respected the couples' decision and let them continue working.

The couple is reported living separately during this time.

In regards to the thyroid cancer Tarek had, it was reported that last screening resulted that it is now all clear.
