Nintendo Switch is all set for a grand reveal this Thursday, January 5, 2017. And while all the excitement as to what Switch could do, when it comes to gaming platforms and features are concerned, there are also some Nintendo fans wondering what the launch game would be. A Nintendo insider has announced that it would be none other than 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.'

Good News Gaming reported this exciting news and said that the source, Nintendo Insider Laura Kate Dale announced on Twitter that 'Breath of the Wild' will be Switch's launch game. She said that the release date for the console is in March for North America and that her news is credible because she has seen "finalized materials."

Apparently news that 'Breath of the Wild' not being ready and versions of the game under the Wii U format getting cancelled was all just rumors. Everything will be revealed to the public on a special Switch reveal this Thursday, January 5.

Meanwhile, Dual Shockers reported that aside from 'Breath of the Wild' being the launch game of Switch, Nintendo of America has released official artwork of the game to celebrate the New Year. A throwback picture of Link looking at the horizon, maybe planning on his next adventure, was revealed. This was an original artwork for 'The Legend of Zelda' when it first began in 1986.

'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' will launch on the Nintendo Switch on March 2017 plus a host of other games under the Switch platform. 'Breath of the Wild' will also be released on the Wii U console sometime during its release on the Switch. More exciting news about 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' will surely be revealed on the Switch launch this coming Thursday.
