If you were a fan of the 2002 cult classic, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," you'll be pleased to now learn that your favorite over-the-top Greek family is coming back with a sequel.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that all of the key players from the first film will be back to work on the second film.

The movie's star and writer, Nia Vardalos will be back again to write the sequel's script and star as "MBFGW's" leading lady, Toula Portokolas.

Her co-star, John Corbett, who played her love interest and husband in the movie, will also reprise his role.

"Now that I'm experiencing motherhood, I'm ready to write the next chapter of my family story," Vardalos told THR. "Of course a few jaded folks in the press corps will claim I ran out of money or just want to kiss John Corbett again. One of these things is true."

Though no director is currently tied to the upcoming project just yet, Playtone, HBO and Gold Circle are reportedly back as the studio entities behind the sequel. Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are returning as producers. Paul Brooks, Scott Niemeyer, Norm Waitt, Steve Shareshian, and Nia Vardalos will serve as executive producers.

So what can we expect from the new movie?

Well, according to Variety, the story follows the lovably loud Portokalos family who return after a family secret is revealed and a bigger, fatter wedding brings the big fat Greek family back together again.

The official release day for the film has yet to be announced.

Vardalos' comedic portrayal of Greek life and Greek family has certainly earned her a multitude of success.

Years ago, Vardalos had the idea of creating a one-woman play entitled, "Greek Wedding," which grew to be quite popular and later led to the success of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding."
