Natalia Lafourcade reveals she's going to be a mom: Meet her Venezuelan husband, Juan Pablo López-Fonseca.

Mexican artist Natalia Lafourcade surprised her fans with the news that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Venezuelan audiovisual and graphic designer Juan Pablo López-Fonseca.
Although Lafourcade is the most recognized female artist in the Mexican music industry and one of the most awarded in the Spanish-speaking world, until now her personal life had remained behind a wall of secrecy, rarely breached. In fact, little was known about her relationship with López-Fonseca, and even less about the fact that she was pregnant, despite the fact that her announcement shows her well into the pregnancy.
Natalia Lafourcade's wedding
In fact, the first time she revealed she was married was in 2023, when she revealed on her YouTube channel that she was going on her honeymoon.
"This afternoon I'm happy. Finally, after two years of being married, I'm going on my honeymoon. How wonderful. Maybe we'll write a song for our honeymoon? Okay. I want to share with you that we're getting ready for the next concerts and that I'm really excited about what's coming up," he said enthusiastically.
López-Fonseca had only appeared once before on Lafourcade's social media, in 2021, with the caption "Long live love!", though no one interpreted it as an announcement of romance.
The artists have been working together since at least 2017 and have starred in award-winning projects such as the album-inspired documentaries Musas (2017) and Hasta la Raíz, which won a Latin Grammy for Best Music Video.

Who is Juan Pablo López-Fonseca, Natalia Lafourcade's husband?
Born in Venezuela, this audiovisual artist graduated from the Metropolitan University of Caracas and studied Scenography and Art Direction for Film and a master's degree in Object Theater at the IUNA in Buenos Aires.
He is also the director, producer, and co-founder of CASA ELEFANTE, an audiovisual production company and creative studio in Mexico that produces documentary and fiction content for film, television, and digital media.
The artist published a carousel of photos about her pregnancy on Monday, July 7, and revealed that she is five months pregnant with the caption:
"Five months and we're still on tour, five months and we're still growing. There's a beautiful being inside my body, and I certainly didn't expect this. What a gift from life, at the same time I sing and sing and keep singing for you, my beautiful people. See you very soon in Spain. In the meantime, we'll keep growing."
That means their baby is expected to be born in the final weeks of this year. Congratulations to the expectant parents!
