Perez Hilton lashed out at R&B singer K. Michelle on Twitter, in defense of Iggy Azalea and her hard-to-miss accent.

It all started when Michelle took to her Twitter account on Tuesday, May 27, apparently confused about how Azalea switches up her accents -- her native Australian accent during spoken dialogue compared to her adopted ratchet southern accent in her rap music.

Soon after, Hilton jumped right in to defend the Aussie rapper.

Things escalated when Perez Hilton compared Iggy Azalea's chart-topping success with K. Michelle's current lack thereof: "@kmichelle I'm happy to stay in my own little corner. And you get back to me when you have a #2 song on the @Billboard Hot 100. #YouNotFancy."

The K.Michelle also tweeted:

@PerezHilton: @kmichelle > You're 1 of the OLD girls, no one has been checking 4u since Lady Gaga disowned u. I said what I said! — K.Michelle (@kmichelle) May 27, 2014

The Twitter fight finally ended with Michelle criticizing Hilton's physical appearance.

Oh @kmichelle @PerezHilton >Now I'm going 2go heal sum hearts, u should do the same. P.S I like you better with the pink hair and ur 4 chins — K.Michelle (@kmichelle) May 27, 2014

Iggy Azalea, who did not participate in the argument, previously discussed her choice to adopt an American accent for her rapping last year. When asked if she had ever rapped in her original Australian accent, she said: "Never. It feels weird to me."

"The breath patterns aren't the same as when I'm talking, so it's easier to change into whatever I want," she added. "I couldn't talk in an American accent -- I could, but it would sound very fake -- but I can rap in one with no problem."

The 23-year-old also responded to those who question her authenticity as a rapper due to her accent change. "Of course I've asked myself, 'Does that make me fake?' I don't think the voice makes me fake; it makes me an artist," said Azalea.
