Here is yet another developer that's talking big about a system that he hasn't really committed to yet, but nonetheless, it is an interesting tidbit. As per recent reports, "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata has just called the Nintendo Switch a "dream machine."

Tabata calls it so because the Nintendo Switch has the uncanny ability to turn itself into a console and a handheld device all at once. This hybrid feature is what caught his attention.

According to Destructoid, Tabata specifically explained, "You mostly have your Nintendo Switch placed in front of the television at home and you're playing on the big screen, and then you decide to take it out, put it down on the table. Now, it becomes a monitor."

Tabata also praises the use of the two Joy-Cons, where players can be able to play with a friend even if it is on the go. "It doesn't even stop there," Tabata continues, "the Nintendo Switch just made it really perfect when you could just take the new monitor and use it like a tablet and play different apps on it just the way you would on your iPhone or your Android."

Tabata then said that the Switch is able to accomplish three tasks, all in one machine. This made him call the Nintendo Switch as a "dream machine."

According to Ubergizmo, to his credit, Tabata did clarify that while he isn't particularly working on anything for it at this time, he is very much intrigued by it the Switch mostly because a lot of the people on his team are all married and have children, and he thinks that it would be a good fit for them. Square Enix, as a whole, isn't snubbing the Switch either, as they are set to deliver an "I Am Setsuna" port on launch and are considering "Final Fantasy XIV" for it as well.
