With the topic of NBA players sitting out games to rest from the public spotlight, and after league commissioner Adam Silver issued a memo addressed to all 30 teams about the problem, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James states his opinion on the matter, saying that all rest is not created equal.

According to ESPN.com, James said that whenever he sits out a game - like what he did along with teammates Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love in the Cavs' 108-78 loss to the LA Clippers last the weekend - it is viewed very differently compared to when just about any other player in the NBA does the same move.

James seems to have noticed that the conversation about anything gets a little bit more talked about whenever he's a part of it. "If it's about somebody else, it gets blown up right away, it gets talked about a little bit, but it doesn't stay long and it later goes away," James said in a recent interview. "But as soon as I'm involved it's just a whole different story."

When Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue was asked whether James' actions are judged differently, he responded with a simple shrug, along with saying, "Most definitely. Everybody knows that." James has played in 63 of the Cavaliers' 69 games this season while sitting out five games to rest and one because of a strep throat.

Currently in his 14th season in the NBA and coming off six straight Finals appearances, the 32-year-old LeBron James still has maintained his usual high level of play. According to ESPN UK, James is averaging impressive numbers this season, with 26.2 points per game on 54.3 percent shooting, along with a career-high in rebounds with 8.4, and assists with 8.8 per game.

While taking shots on the court before practice started, James wondered aloud whether anybody would even care about him sitting if he were averaging only 16 points per game this season instead of his usual 20+ PPG. James, Irving, and Love returned to the court on their recent victory against the Lakers and will likely finish off the remaining games of the season.
