This weekend, "God of War" Developer Ready at Dawn is holding a Steam open beta for its PC arena combat game called "Deformers." "Deformers" is a game that put players in control of some ball-shaped creatures which are called Forms.

According to PC Gamer, these Forms look much like animals, food, and any other type of creature, and the player can control them in multiple different modes, which includes Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Form Ball, which is pretty much similar to "Rocket League". The two Deathmatch modes on "Deformers" feature players shooting objects at their opponents, along with rolling into them to try and knock them off a giant floating platform.

The Rocket League-esque Form Ball, on the other hand, gives players the objective of trying to knock a ball into a net to score goals. "Deformers," the rolling action game, doesn't look much the same from Ready at Dawn's previous work, which has consisted of "The Order: 1886" and two "God of War" games

Steam players can go check out more information on the "Deformers" official game forum, as the open beta lasts from this weekend up until 12 A.M. PT/3 AM ET on the 3rd of April. Deformers is only a 2.5 GB download, so it should not take long for it to download for players who have a decent connection.

It is also worth noting that the beta version of "Deformers" is currently experiencing some server issues, so players who have downloaded the game may have their play either delayed or postponed from time to time depending on the time that they will play the game. According to Face Punch, players who weren't able to take advantage of this weekend's Steam offer don't have to worry.

Ready at Dawn has also announced that it is planning to have at least one more beta test before officially launching "Deformers" in order to give more people the opportunity to experience the game early on. So it will be a matter of time when "Deformers" will be offered for free again on Steam.
