Following the roster changes made by the Los Angeles Lakers this week, critics were quick to question the move by the team, and it earned a fiery reaction from Lebron James.

According to USA Today Sports, the early post-season exit prompted the purple and gold squad to do a roster overhaul. However, the recent Lakers signings were torched by critics online, and LeBron James was not happy about it.

Warning from 'The King' LeBron James

NBA fans worldwide spent the past few days roasting the ages of the Lakers roster, and LeBron James took notice. On Wednesday, the 36-year-old NBA Superstar posted a tweet to respond to all the jokes.

LeBron James tweeted: "Keep talking about my squad, our personnel ages, the way he plays, he stays injured, we're past our time in this league, etc etc etc. Do me one favor PLEASE!!!! And I mean PLEASE!!! Keep that same narrative ENERGY when it begins! That's all I ask."

However, LeBron James deleted the tweet minutes later, and it was unclear why he did it.

LA Lakers Roster Overhaul

The 2020-21 Lakers roster faced plenty of issues, from zero spacing to no reliable shooting, and worst, injuries. The extended time brought by the early exit gave Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka to take an interesting approach in addressing the recent Lakers' issues.

After the blockbuster trade involving Russell Westbrook, the LA Lakers signed veterans like Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, and Kent Bazemore in the free agency.

Despite the shining names in the Lakers roster, critics still targeted the recent additions to the roster because the Lakers would have at least eight players in their thirties, which isn't quite how most NBA teams tend to construct rosters.

Players like Howard, Ariza, Ellington, and Bazemore were not new in wearing the purple and gold uniforms in the upcoming season. The veterans have played for the Lakers in the past. And even Howard and Ariza have already contributed for a Larry O'Brien trophy of the LA squad.

After almost two decades of friendship and rivalry, it would be the first time that LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony would be teammates in their career, aside from playing with Team USA.

LeBron and Anthony were the only remaining players in the famous '03 NBA draft class, which experts considered the most stacked draft class in NBA history.

Meanwhile, most of the Lakers' signings were only for a year as most of them never set their foot on the NBA finals, and they said that would be their motivation.
