U.S. President Joe Biden's job rating has seen another plummet, with around 60 percent of Americans saying that they disapprove of the president's job performance, a new poll revealed.

Only 41 percent approved of Biden's job performance, while 58 percent of Americans said they disapprove of the way he is handling the presidency, according to The Hill report. A similar survey last December recorded a 49 percent approval rating for Biden, while 51 percent of the respondents were dissatisfied with his performance.

The recent survey was conducted for CNN by SSRS, an independent research company. The surveys were gathered from January 10 to February 6, with 1,527 adult respondents, age 18 or older.

The respondents were asked which of the issues Biden has addressed that they approve of, with 56 percent answering with "Nothing."

Only 36 percent of independents and nine percent of Republicans approved of the job Biden is doing. Meanwhile, 83 percent of Democrats still approve of Biden. This is compared to the 94 percent approval rate from last summer.

The administration has been placed under heavy scrutiny with its handling of the COVID pandemic and foreign policy, among others.

Biden Administration's Response to Issues

The White House is currently trying to quell concerns regarding price acceleration and inflation while resurrecting the president's Build Back Better climate-and-family legislation.

Twenty percent of the respondents on the recent survey disapproved of Biden's handling of the economy in December.

In January, the economy is the main issue for Biden's sinking popularity, with it being the top priority for men and women of every age, according to a CNBC report.

Meanwhile, Black respondents named racism as their top priority, followed by the economy.

The recent CNN survey also noted that 52 percent of respondents disapprove of Biden's effort to protect democracy in America.

Meanwhile, 54 percent said that they disapproved of the Biden administration's COVID pandemic response, with 45 percent showing approval.

The new survey had 57 percent describe the first year of Biden's administration to be a failure, while 41 percent said that it was a success.

Biden Touting Wage Growth, Slower Inflation

Meanwhile, the president has hyped wage growth and projected slowing inflation despite a new report showing that prices are still rising at their fastest rate in 40 years. Biden said in a press release that the forecasters continue to project inflation easing substantially by the end of 2022, according to a CNBC report.

The Labor Department reported that prices rose 7.5 percent in the 12 months through January, which is the fastest annualized growth since 1982.

Market forecasters are certain that the Federal Reserve will up rates at its March meeting and will continue to do so throughout 2022.

Meanwhile, Senate Democrats are calling on the Biden administration to do more to address the consumers' burden due to the rising cost of goods.

Sen. Maggie Hassan, a New Hampshire Democrat, said that they need to push harder to see what they can do to resolve the supply chain issues, according to a KTVZ News report. She added that there is more to be done to up manufacturing as well.
