A Uvalde teacher reportedly claimed that the gunman, Salvador Ramos, in the Texas shooting at Robb Elementary School in May was a student who "scared her" the most.

Texas Department of Public Safety Col. Steve McCraw shared the worry of the Uvalde teacher, who was not identified, during a Texas Senate hearing that investigates the response to the tragedy in Robb Elementary School, according to the Daily Mail.

"We had one teacher who said she was always worried about him... He was the one student who scared her most. We discussed, as I mentioned earlier, last year he started dressing like a school shooter, started acting like a school shooter," McCraw said.

McCraw also pointed out that Ramos' disturbing behavior was well-known in the town located in the city of Uvalde, which has 17,000 residents. The Texas DPS colonel also referenced footage of Ramos holding a bag of dead cats that was posted online.

McCraw underscored that at least six individuals told him after the Texas shooting that Ramos worried them. The Texas DPS colonel pointed out that no reports connected to the gunman had been made before the shooting.

McCraw also speculated that the draw of instant notoriety enabled by the internet and social media had played a factor in Ramos' decision to carry out the shooting in May.

Mom of Texas Shooting Gunman Says Her Son Is Not Violent

In May, Adriana Reyes, the mom of the Texas shooting gunman, underscored that her son was not a "violent person" despite the casualty of the tragedy and that she was surprised her son engaged in violence at Robb Elementary School.

The mother was also reportedly in "disbelief" that Ramos was able to shoot his grandmother.

According to Maria Alvarez, the mother of Reyes' boyfriend, the mom of the gunman would share with her the issues she is having with her son, contending that the fights between the Texas shooter and the mom revolved around school.

However, Reyes insisted she had a good relationship with her son. She also acknowledged that Ramos did not have many friends.

Robb Elementary School to be Demolished - Mayor

On Tuesday, Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin announced during a council meeting that Robb Elementary School will no longer stand, according to the Insider.

"My understanding - and I had this discussion with the superintendent - that school will be demolished. You can never ask a child to go back or a teacher to go back in that school ever," Mclaughlin underscored.

Superintendent Hall Harrell said that Robb Elementary would be turned into "something other than a school site." He furthered that Robb Elementary School would be moved to a different address.

However, the Uvalde Mayor did not specify to which school the students of Robb Elementary School will enter next school year.

It was still unclear what might be built on the site where at least 19 children and two teachers died.
