Donald Trump teased a "major announcement" on his right-wing social media platform and it made his political base very excited However, as it turned out, he just announced a line of Donald Trump superhero NFTs. This drew mockery all over the internet, including from Joe Biden and right-wing pundits.

Trump made people wonder if he would announce his running mate or something about his various cases. Others were expecting something related to the recently-concluded Senate race where Republicans lost massively, or the current race for who should become Speaker of the House. Some even expected Trump to make announcements about his 2024 presidential campaign.

However, when it was revealed that it will be about NFTs of him, it made many, including his own supporters, confused, as he touted the announcement to be a very important one with much flair and pomp. Instead, people got NFTs.

According to The Hill, each of these digital trading cards would sell for around $99 and can be bought either through credit card or cryptocurrency.

President Joe Biden Mocks Donald Trump's 'Major Announcement'

The Trump NFTs are basically just digital trading cards that feature Trump as a superhero. When they were revealed, many were disappointed, from both the left and the right.

This led to Biden mocking his former election opponent, but instead of trying to sell NFTs, Biden touted his actual recent achievements in a tweet:

Biden listed that inflation was going down, protecting same-sex marriage, freeing Brittney Griner from a Russian penal colony, lowering the price of gas, and adding new high-paying jobs in Arizona.

The Guardian reported that Trump also received much mockery from the media and media watchdogs like Mediate, whose contributing editor, Sarah Rumpf wrote, "This is somehow hilariously dumber than even I had expected."

NBC News reporter Allan Smith also pointed out that none of the proceeds on the sale of these Trump NFTs will be going to Trump or his businesses, as the money will go to an outside company called NFT INT. The official website for these Trump NFTs even admitted to this as it stated that these digital trading cards are not political and have nothing to do with his campaign and that Trump only signed a licensing deal with them.

Republicans and Right-wing Pundits Also Mocked Trump

While the media and the left are having a field day on Trump getting on the NFT bandwagon, the announcement has the right in disbelief.

With Trump slipping in the polls in favor of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, many in the right mocked the former president, including Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro, who had this sarcastic tweet:

Shapiro also pointed out that those Trump supporters who do want to get their hands on a Trump superhero NFT would be getting their NFT at random, meaning that after paying $99, they might not even be getting the Trump NFT they want.

Conservative comedians, the Hodge Twins, described the Trump NFT announcement as like waking up at 3 a.m. and watching infomercials on TV.
