Kim Kardashian will not be skipping this year's Met Gala, despite rumors that the entire Kardashian clan may not be invited to the upcoming event.

A source confirmed to Page Six that the reality star was still on the Met Gala's guest list and will walk on the steps of the Met Museum in New York City during this year's most stylish event.

After the entire Kardashian family showed up together for the first time in 2022, Page Six reported in March that May's event would be Kardashian-free.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour allegedly put strict guidelines in place for who may attend the magazine's annual fashion gala, and the Kardashians were reportedly not among those invited.

Aside from Kim, another member of her famous family will also reportedly attend fashion's biggest event. However, there was no report on who among her siblings had gotten an invite. The outlet speculated that it would be Kendall Jenner.

Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian attended the Met Gala for the first time last year. Kris, Kendall, and Kylie Jenner have all walked the carpet before, but none as regularly as Kim.

While pregnant with their first child, the reality star and her then-husband Kanye West attended the Met Gala for the first time in 2013.

Kim Kardashian Is Met Gala's Trendsetter

Kim Kardashian's outfits at Met Gala have always drawn attention. In 2019, she made headlines for her "wet" look outfit by Thierry Mugler.

In 2021, she wore a full black Balenciaga bodysuit, which sparked debate online and created numerous hilarious memes.

Last year, Kim faced backlash for wearing the famous "Happy Birthday Mr. President" dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962, Marca reported.

Kim allegedly damaged the dress of the late actress, which was denied by the camp of the reality star. It is still unknown which designer Kim will collaborate with for this year's Met Gala.

Met Gala 2023

According to Harper Bazaar, the Met Gala 2023 will be held on May 1, celebrating the annual Costume Institute's exhibition.

The museum has announced that "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" will be the Met's spring 2023 exhibition theme. The Met initially announced it in a press conference during Paris Fashion Week in September.

Karl Lagerfeld was a famous designer who died in 2019 at the age of 85. He was one of the most celebrated fashion designers of all time.

Lagerfeld headed up some of the most prestigious fashion brands in the world, including Fendi, Chanel, and his namesake label. He acted as creative director in all three brands until his death.

Aside from Kim Kardashian, other stars reported to attend this year's Met Gale were Cara Delevingne, Dua Lipa, Mindy Kaling, and Roger Federer.
