Tim Tebow's NFL career has gone from one city to another and from one bench to the next. Tonight, however, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner might be down to his last chance as the New England Patriots welcome the New York Giants to Gillette Stadium for the final preseason game of the year.

Besides one miraculous 2011 season with the Denver Broncos, Tebow has had an overall disappointing career in professional football. He rarely saw any playing time as a member of the Jets last season and he is hanging by a thread on the edge of the Patriots' roster. Despite the lack of job security, Tebow told Fox Sports that he's not treating this week any differently.

"It's the same as any other game I've ever played in," he said on Monday. "Just prepare, get ready and go out and do the best you can with the opportunity you're given."

Tebow played poorly during the first two games of the preseason this year and didn't even play in the third game. He is, however, expected to see significant playing time this week as he seeks to prove to the Patriots that he is somehow deserving of a spot on a roster that is shrinking by the week. New England will be trimming the team down to 53 players by the time the preseason reaches its conclusion.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft seems to favor the 26-year-old quarterback but the decision of whether or not the team will keep Tebow is reserved for head coach Bill Belichick.

"We want to make sure we have the 53 best people to help us win games during this year," Kraft said. "I'm rooting for (Tebow) and I'm in his corner, but I have the privilege of letting Bill (Belichick) make those decisions. He's got a pretty good record doing it."

The Patriots will open the regular season next weekend when they travel to Buffalo for a divisional matchup against the Bills.
