Is it Nov. 15th yet? That is the only question running through many gamers' minds as they patiently wait for the next generation console in the PlayStation franchise to hit stores. Let's take a look at some of the latest news on what to expect out of the PS4.

Unlike the Xbox One's tentative release date of Nov. 27 (which is largely just speculation), the Nov. 15 release date for the PS4 is a firm one. It starts at a relatively meager price of $399, and already there have been over a million pre-orders for the console.

One of the most clever moves by the folks at Sony was a simple motto: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's just what they did by standing still and not changing their DRM policies and usage of physical discs like Microsoft initially did during the Xbox One reveal at E3.

"The PS4 will offer unrestricted access to pre-owned games. So when you buy a titles, you are free to then trade it in at retail, sell it to another person, lend it to a friend or keep it. Microsoft initially intended to restrict these factors with the Xbox One, but significant backlash from the gaming community forced it to backtrack and feature-match the PS4," writes TechRadar.

Sony also made quite a splash on Tuesday when it gave another game announcement that was both inadvertent, and well, entirely false. Fan Norman Noel tweeted Sony UK to express his excitement at both the release of the new Grand Theft Auto V, as well as the forthcoming PS4. In response, Sony UK tweeted back:

"GTA V is going to be amazing, especially on the PS4! What other games are you looking forward to playing, Norman?"

This immediately caused ripples in the gaming community, as it had not been previously announced that GTA V would be on a next gen console. It should be noted that the Sony UK Twitter account does not handle information regarding the PlayStation, which instead goes to PlayStation EU. Sony was quick to apologize for any confusion and announce that GTA V would indeed only be coming to the PS3.

Other than that lack of communication, it has been a fairly tame ride for Sony as its fans eagerly await the PS4 release. So far the PS4 is easily beating the Xbox One in a popularity battle, and that doesn't appear to be changing.
