Justin Timberlake would like to be in the upcoming untitled 'Man of Steel' sequel, but not as a superhero.

On New York's Fresh 102.7 'Jim & Kim' radio show, the 32-year-old pop star and actor said he'd be interested in playing a villain and not Batman's sidekick.

"Not a chance in hell. I ain't playing Robin," Timberlake told the radio show. "I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie."

"Now a villain! I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funnily enough, is The Riddler," he continued. "The Riddler is my favorite villain. The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I wanna play proper crazy."

According to Variety, Timberlake "would have some big shoes to fill" as The Riddler was last portrayed on the big screen by Jim Carey in 1995's "Batman Forever."

If Timberlake were to join the cast as a villain in the upcoming 'Man of Steel' sequel, he would join Bryan Cranston, who'll reportedly be playing Superman's archenemy Lex Luthor, and Ben Affleck as Batman.

Affleck's casting has been met with mixed feelings, but Timberlake told the radio show that he approves.

"I think he's an extreme talent, so he could surprise a lot of people," Timberlake said. Former Batman Michael Keaton also gave Affleck his approval. Keaton played the Caped Crusader in 1989's "Batman" and 1992's "Batman Returns."

This is the second time this week that Timberlake has sided with a controversial celebrity event. The pop icon defended Miley Cyrus's VMA performance on another radio show.

Timberlake, who has proven himself a capable actor in movies such as "The Social Network" and "Friends with Benefits," can be seen next alongside Affleck in the crime thriller "Runner, Runner," premiering Sept. 27.

His fourth studio album, "The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2," will also be released Sept. 27.
